KFC (CEO Song Moo-hyun, Kim Hyung-no) announced on the 29th that its high-tensile bolts passed the Ministry of Transportation's Ministerial Certification Reporting Committee on the 15th.
He added that it is scheduled to receive a performance evaluation in June and a Daishin certificate in August. It is explained that only administrative procedures remain after passing the reporting committee.
Prior to this, KPF obtained JIS certification last year to expand the expansion of high-tension bolts into Japan, and separately from this, it has been pursuing certification by the Ministry of Transportation
of Japan.
Japan's Minister of Transportation' certification refers to an official government certification that has the same meaning as Korea's'Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport' certification.
Therefore, Daishin certification is essential to participate in SOC projects ordered by the Japanese government. The market size is also larger.
KPF explained that the market through Daishin certification in the Japanese high-tension bolt market is about 60%, which is larger than the market through JIS certification (about 40%).
With the acquisition of Daishin's certification, KPF will be able to participate in infrastructure projects such as bridges, airports and ports ordered by the Japanese government in the future.
Kim Seon-jong, head of KFA's Planning and Management Officer, said, "Daeshin certification is considerably more difficult to obtain than JIS certification, so it usually takes about two years." 
"This means that KPF's high technology is also recognized in Japan," said Kim. "In terms of sales, it will become a new growth engine for the fastener business as it will be possible to enter government-level
construction in addition to the existing private sector.
